Ingvill Makestad runs 1500m PR at Heusden...

HEUSDEN, Belgium--Former University of Washington middle distance runner Ingvill Måkestad from Norway set her second straight personal best, running 4:09.62 to finish second in the KBC Nacht Van De Atletiek track meet Saturday.

The race was won by Great Britain's Hannah England, a former standout at Florida State University, who ran 4:08.96.

Below is a post race interview with Måkestad, courtesy of media partner Flotrack, where she states that the most important part of her success this season is getting over the injuries that have plagued her over the last several years.

She will need to run at least 4:09.00 in order to be selected by the Norwegian federation for next month's IAAF World Track & Field Championships.
