Mart Israel third, Jarred Rome fourth in Lucerne...

LUCERNE, Switzerland--Former Washington Husky Mart Israel from Estonia finished third in the discus at the Lucerne Spitzen Leichtathletik track meet Wednesday.

Israel, a member of Estonia's world championship and Olympic teams the last two years, threw 63.04 meters (206-10) in a meet won by fellow countryman, training partner and reigning world and Olympic champion Gerd Kanter, who threw the disc 67.42 meters (221-2).

Marysville native Jarred Rome finished fourth with a throw of 62.26 meters (204-3).
