Felnagle, who won two individual cross country titles and six state track titles at Bellarmine Prep, recently moved back to Tacoma, where she is reunited with her high school coach Matt Ellis.

At North Carolina, Felnagle earned All-American honors with her 22nd place finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, a feat she repeated at the NCAA Indoor Championships with her fifth place finish in the 3000m, before anchoring the Tar Heels to a victory in the DMR.

During the 2007 outdoor season, Felnagle won the ACC Championships in the 800m and 1500m, before capping off her stellar season with a victory in the 1500m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

In 2008, she broke the UNC school record in the 1500, running 4:08.54, then competed in the US Olympic Trials.

The last two seasons at UNC were rocky for Felnagle, as she underwent a coaching change and inconsistent performances.

In this interview, she reveals that she signed with agent Mark Wetmore of Boston-based Global Athletics, and earned a deal with adidas. She also talked about moving back home and being coached by Bellarmine coach Matt Ellis.
