OSLO, Norway--A pair of former University of Washington standouts, Ingvill Måkestad (left/photo courtesy runingvill.wordpress.com), and Mart Israel are set to compete in Thursday's ExxonMobil Bislett Games at famed Bislett Stadium in the Norwegian capital.

Måkestad, the Norwegian record holder indoors in the 1500 at 4:08.65, and the 800 meters outdoors at 1:59.62, will compete in the 800 in a field that includes reigning world outdoor champion Caster Semanya of South Africa, who was beaten at last Saturday's Nike Prefontaine Classic at that distance, and current Samsung Diamond League leader Jenny Meadows of Great Britain.

Måkestad tuned up for Thursday's stop on the Samsung Diamond League tour by setting a personal best in the 1000 meters, running a hand-timed 2:36.7 in Florø last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Israel, a two-time world championships competitor and 2008 Olympian from Estonia, will throw the discus against a field that includes countryman and current Samsung Diamond League leader Gerd Kanter, and discus legend Virgilijus Alekna of Lithuania.

The ExxonMobil Bislett Games will be streamed live on universalsports.com beginning at 11 am pacific.
