Kyle Nielsen places fourth in javelin at Aileen Meagher Track Classic...

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia--Recent University of Washington senior Kyle Nielsen (left/photo by Paul Merca) finished third in the men's javelin at the Aileen Meagher International Track Classic on Sunday, the penultimate stop in Canada's National Track League circuit.

Nielsen, who placed fourth in both the Vancouver and Victoria stops on the circuit, threw 232-2 (70.77m), as reigning Canadian national champ Scott Russell took the win with a mark of 260-7 (79.43m).

Former Husky Falesha Ankton placed fifth in the 100 meter hurdles in the meet, running 13.55, as Canada's Phylicia George won in 12.76.

The 2011 National Track League circuit concludes Wednesday in Toronto with the Toronto International Track & Field Games.
