List of Washington affiliated athletes qualified for the US Olympic Track & Field Trials...

Listed below in a downloadable document are the athletes with ties to the state of Washington who have achieved automatic qualifying marks to next month's US Olympic Track & Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon on June 22nd through July 1st (the hammer will be contested June 21st in Beaverton at NIKE World Headquarters).

Because of the fluid nature with athletes achieving provisional or "B" standard marks, those athletes are not listed. Athletes will have until June 17th to achieve a qualifying mark for the Olympic Trials.

The qualifying standards for the Trials are available here, as well as on the downloadable document.

One notable mark not listed in the sheet is Scott Roth's mark of 18-9.25/5.72m, which was set at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 16, 2011, BEFORE the Olympic qualifying period began on May 1st of last year. Roth is currently a provisional qualifier, but should make the cut, as the top 24 athletes over 18-0 1/2 (5.50m) should get into the meet (he has a 2012 best of 18-4.5/5.60m).

An updated sheet will be published sometime after the NCAA championships and before the June 17th deadline. I anticipate publishing the names of provisional qualifiers who look to get into the meet.

The Olympic Trials time schedule is available here.
