At Saturday's Vandal Collegiate meet in Moscow, Idaho,  Washington State University athletes won four events in a meet that involved most of the state's division I and II schools.

Gonzaga athletes won three of four distances races on the docket--both the men's and women's 3000, and the men's mile.

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Washington's Kasen Covington had a big season-best leap of 49-9 ¼ (15.17m) on his sixth attempt to take second. The Huskies' Kasen Williams got into the triple jump for the first time, going 46-10 ¼ (14.28m) as he tries to regain his rhythm in the tricky event in which he set the Washington high school state record back in 2011. Julian Bardwell was unable to get a legal mark in the triple.
