Jeshua Anderson takes victory in Perth, while Brad Walker gets second...


PERTH, Australia--Washington State alum Jeshua Anderson (left/photo by Paul Merca) notched his first victory of the 2013 outdoor season, winning the 400 hurdles at the Perth Track Classic Saturday night.

Competing against a domestic field, Anderson, the 2011 USA national champion clocked a time of 49.93, ahead of runner up Ian Dewhurst's 50.31.

University of Washington alum Brad Walker, the 2012 US Olympic trials champ and former world champion, finished second in the pole vault, clearing 18-0 1/2 (5.50m).

Great Britain's Steve Lewis won the competition, with a third attempt clearance at 18-4 1/2 (5.60m).
