PRO NOTES: Amos Bartelsmeyer & Dan Curts leave Seattle; UW alum Lindsay Flanagan runs London Marathon Sunday...

On his social media channels, Georgetown alum and Seattle resident Amos Bartelsmeyer (photo by Paul Merca) announced that he will make the move from Seattle to Portland to join the Nike sponsored Bowerman Track Club.

Bartelsmeyer, a native of St. Louis, had a breakout season in 2019, where he moved to Seattle to be coached by University of Washington head coach Andy Powell, as part of a pro group that included current Husky volunteer coach Sam Prakel.

In 2019, he set personal bests outdoors at 800 (1:47.87), 1500 (3:36.29), and the mile (3:53.33), as well as indoors in the mile (3:55.32) and 3000 (7:49.47).

Bartelsmeyer, who has dual American & German citizenship, won the German national title outdoors in the 1500. He represented Germany last year at the European indoor championships in the 3000, where he finished sixth. He also competed at last year's IAAF world outdoor championship meet in the 1500 for Germany, where he advanced to the semifinals.

Bartelsmeyer did not race in 2020, except for a stint at the UW Invitational on February 1st, where he paced the mile.

Another member of Powell's pro training group, former Iowa State standout Dan Curts, announced on his social media channels that he is moving to New Hampshire to train with two time world championship team member at 5000 meters, Ben True.

FLANAGAN SET TO RUN LONDON MARATHON SUNDAY...

University of Washington alum Lindsay Flanagan, who finished twelfth at the US Olympic Marathon Trials in Atlanta on February 29th, will run in Sunday's Virgin Money London Marathon.

This year's London Marathon will be an elite-race competition only, with the race contested on a closed loop course. She's looking to better her 2:28:08 personal best that she set at last year's Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Flanagan is one of four Americans who will be running on Sunday. The others are Jared Ward, Sara Hall and Molly Seidel, who finished second at the Olympic Trials in Atlanta.
