In the big turn-around department...
One item we forgot to post about last Wednesday's Athens Indoor Grand Prix meet was Russian Ivan Ukhov's world leading clearance of 2.40 meters (7-10 1/2) in the high jump.

Followers of paulmerca.blogspot.com may recall that Ukhov was one of the biggest sensations on the internet for his drunk attempt to clear the bar at the Lausanne Athletissma Grand Prix meet last year:
Knowledable folks in the track and field world tell us that Ukhov has apparently learned his lesson from the fiasco in Lausanne...remember that Red Bull and vodka are not a good combination, especially when high jumping!
