Geubelle finishes fourth in DecáNation triple jump...

ANGERS, France—University Place resident Andrea Geubelle (above/photo courtesy University of Kansas) finished fourth in the triple jump for Team USATF at Saturday’s DecáNation meet at Stadium du Lac de Maine.

Geubelle jumped a best of 42-9.5 (13.04m) on her second attempt as Jeanine Assani Issouf of France won with a best of 44-8.25 (13.62m).

Team USATF scored nine individual victories to win the overall title, scoring 122 points, with France second with 103 points, to give the Americans its tenth victory in 13 appearances at this season-ending meet.

In a related note, Geubelle will return to Lawrence, Kansas to train with University of Kansas coach Wayne Pate at her alma mater.
