Husky alum Eleanor Fulton runs season best in 1500m at Harry Jerome...

BURNABY, British Columbia--University of Washington alum Eleanor Fulton (left/photo by Paul Merca) ran a season best in finishing fifth in the international 1500 meters Wednesday night at the Harry Jerome International Track Classic at Swangard Stadium.

Fulton, who resides in Portland and competes as a member of High Performance West, ran 4:12.46, one second faster than her previous 2018 best set in Los Angeles in May at the USATF High Performance meet, as Canada's Jessica O'Connell won in 4:10.66.

The Washington alum’s personal best of 4:10.41 was set at this meet last year.

In other events involving athletes with Washington ties, Seattle resident Justine Fedronic finished fifth in the international 800 meters.

Fedronic, who has battled injury issues since making France’s Olympic team two years ago, and has a 2018 season best of 2:03.15, ran 2:04.58, as Simon Fraser alum and 2017 Canadian world championships competitor Lindsey Butterworth won, running a time of 2:02.47.

Savannah Colón of the Brooks Beasts was tenth in 2:10.39.
