CONCORD, Massachusetts—Seattle Pacific alum McKayla Fricker (above/photo by Mike Scott) and Tacoma native Brie Felnagle came up winners Thursday night at the Adrian Martinez Classic at Emerson Park.
Fricker, who ran in the USATF High Performance 800m last week at the Nike Prefontaine Classic, won the women’s 800 in a time of 2:02.77.
Felnagle, who has been relatively quiet so far this spring, won the mile in 4:32.72, with training partner Angela Bizzarri of the Brooks Beasts third at 4:34.01.
Drew Windle of the Brooks Beasts was a close second in the men’s 800, running 1:46.81, just short of the Olympic Trials qualifying mark of 1:46.00, as former world championships team member Brandon Johnson took the win in 1:46.72.
