Winger, Allen & Nageotte entered in IAAF Diamond League meet in Lausanne Thursday...

The IAAF Diamond League tour moves on from Paris to Lausanne Thursday night for the Athletissima Meeting, where a trio of athletes with Washington ties are entered.

Vancouver native Kara Winger (left/photo by Paul Merca), who won her eighth USATF national title in Des Moines last month, is entered in the javelin, where she will face three of the top five throwers in the world this season, led by Tatiana Khaladadovich of Belarus, who threw 221-4 (67.47m) at the Diamond League meet in Oslo.

Former Renton resident and Oregon alum Devon Allen, who like Winger, won the national championship in Des Moines, runs in the 110 hurdles, fresh off a third place finish last week at the Diamond League stop in Paris, where he ran a season best of 13.23.

Allen runs in a field that includes reigning world and Olympic champion Omar McLeod of Jamaica, as well as former Olympic champ and current world record holder Aries Merritt, along with 2015 world champion Sergey Shubenkov.

Finally, Pullman’s Katie Nageotte competes in the women’s pole vault against reigning world and Olympic champ Katerina Stefanidi, along with fellow Americans Sandi Morris and Jenn Suhr.

The Athletissima Meeting will be shown live on the Olympic Channel (Comcast 660 in Seattle) starting at 11 am on Thursday.
