Brooks Beasts continue to add, as Texas A&M's Devin Dixon joins squad...


One day after announcing the addition of Laurie Barton to the team, the Brooks Beasts took to Instagram to announce the addition of Devin Dixon (Eric Evans photo for Texas A&M) to the squad.

Dixon was a multi-time scorer for Texas A&M at 800 meters both indoors and outdoors at the NCAA championships,  finishing as high as second in the 2019 outdoor championships in Austin, Texas.

He's also been part of the Aggies' 4 x 400 meter relay squad that's scored consistently, and won the 2019 outdoor title.

Dixon has a personal best of 45.22 at 400 meters, and an 800 meter personal best of 1:44.76.

ALLEN WINS FIRST WANDA DIAMOND LEAGUE RACE IN LAUSANNE...

In Lausanne, Switzerland, former Renton resident Devon Allen won the 110 hurdles Thursday night at the Athletissima Lausanne, the tenth stop on the Wanda Diamond League circuit.

On a breezy night, Allen took advantage of a +2.9 wind to cross the line first in a time of 13.07, beating Switzerland's Jason Joseph by 4/100ths of a second to earn his first victory in a Wanda Diamond League meet.

In addition, Allen beat Olympic champion Hansle Parchment of Jamaica (8th, 13.58), and Ronald Levy of Jamaica, the Olympic bronze medalist (5th, 13.40).

With the win, Allen holds third place in the Wanda Diamond League standings with 13 points. He's entered in Saturday's Meeting de Paris, the eleventh stop in the Diamond League series.
