Long jumper Norris Frederick to host celebrity auction Wednesday for his Olympic campaign...

Wanted to give a shout out to University of Washington standout Norris Frederick (left/photo by Paul Merca), who is using social media to promote his celebrity auction Wednesday night, beginning at 7pm at Citrus, 1001 Fairview Avenue North in Seattle.

Frederick created a Facebook page to publicize his fundraising efforts as he prepares for his 2012 Olympic campaign.

This auction will feature a silent auction, followed by a celebrity date auction featuring himself, former Washington basketball standouts Isaiah Thomas, Spencer Hawes, footballer Roy Lewis, several members of the Seattle Mist lingerie football team, and much more!

You can dance to the live DJ, enjoy a few drinks, win yourself some prizes and possibly a night on the town with a local celebrity!

The suggested donation for this all-ages event is $10.

WESTERN WASHINGTON CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS MAINTAIN NATIONAL RANKING...

The Western Washington Viking cross country teams remain among the country's top 25 teams in the latest USTFCCCA Division II national rankings released Wednesday.

The Viking men's squad, which finished second in the GNAC meet to Alaska-Anchorage last Saturday, are ranked #20, down one spot.

Their women's squad, which finished third, currently stands #16 in the current polls, the same spot they were in.

The Vikings next race at the NCAA Division II West Regionals in Spokane Valley on November 5th.
