Jordan Boase elects to return to Washington for senior season...
As reported in Monday's edition of the Seattle Times, University of Washington 400-meter runner Jordan Boase (left/photo by Paul Merca) announced that he will return to Huskyville for his senior season.
Boase, an Olympic Trials qualifier, Pac-10 runnerup in his event, said he consulted with an agent on what his options were.
After mulling offers from Nike, Reebok & Asics, Boase, who has completed coursework for a degree in sociology, and a history minor but has one year of eligibility left, decided to stay and work towards an NCAA title in his event, and to try and qualify for next year's World Championships in Berlin.
"If I get onto that [world] team, the money and all that will fall into place," he said in a telephone interview Sunday with reporter Meri-Jo Borzilleri.
