Mart Israel second to Gerd Kanter in Helsingborg...

A post on runblogrun.com by European track & field writer Alfons Juck reports that former University of Washington discus thrower Mart Israel (left/photo courtesy University of Washington) from Estonia finished second at a small meet in Helsingborg, Sweden to fellow countryman and reigning world champion Gerd Kanter on July 30th.

In the meet, Kanter threw 229-6 (69.95m) , while Israel spun the platter 208-6 (63.55m).
