Cougs, Eags, Zags and Wildcats in action Friday and Saturday in Idaho...

Washington State, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington, and Central Washington are back in action this weekend with all four squads in action in Idaho.

All four teams will have athletes at the Vandal Collegiate/Idaho Open meet on Friday and Saturday at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow on the campus of the University of Idaho.

Additionally, Washington State will send a group of athletes to Nampa for the Jacksons Invite/New Balance Boise Indoor at the Idaho Center, hosted by Boise State University.

The Vandal Collegiate is the more exclusive of the two meets, with only collegiate and unattached athletes. Field events start at 1:30 p.m. and running events kick off at 2 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles. The meet will be capped off by the 4x400 relay.

For those athletes not competing in the Vandal Collegiate on Friday, they'll get a chance to prove themselves Saturday at the Idaho Open.

The Cougars of Washington State will send a group comprised of their front-line athletes to Nampa, including Ruby Roberts (above/photo by Paul Merca) in the 800 and mile, Charlotte Muschamp in the triple jump; Todd Wakefield in the 800; Drew Jordan, Andrew Gonzales and Andrew Kimpel in the mile.
