Washington women ranked #13 in first USTFCCCA indoor track rating index...
NEW ORLEANS--The University of Washington women's squad finds itself ranked number 13 in the first USTFCCCA national indoor track & field rating index, boosted in part by Carley Thomas's (above/John Nepolitan photo for UW Athletics) collegiate leading mark of 2:03.06 at Saturday's Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge on Saturday.
The USC Trojans take the top spot, followed by Georgia, Arkansas, Texas and Kentucky in the national top five.
Other schools ranked from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation ranked in the top 25 include number 15 Colorado, number 17 Oregon, and number 19 Stanford.
On the men's side, no Washington schools are ranked in the top 25.
The nation's top five men's teams are, in order: Florida State, LSU, USC, Texas and Texas A&M.
Other MPSF schools in the top 25 include number 11 Colorado, number 17 Oregon and number 22 UCLA.
The next national rating index releases Monday February 3rd.
