Clay, Stuczynski your choice for the Jesse Owens Award...
In a post on September 19th, we asked you to vote for your pick for USA Track & Field's Jesse Owens Award, given annually to the top male and female track & field athletes.
You folks picked pole vaulter Jenn Stuczynski and decathlete Bryan Clay as your choices to win the Jesse Owens Award.
This year’s awards will be presented December 6 at the Jesse Owens Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, held at the Silver Legacy Resort in Reno, Nev. The ceremony is held in conjunction with USA Track & Field’s 2008 Annual Meeting in Reno, December 3-7.
The Jesse Owens Award was established in 1981 as a tribute to the man whose accomplishments are forever enshrined in sports history. It is USA Track & Field’s highest accolade, and is presented annually to the individuals selected through a nominating and voting procedure as the outstanding American performers of the year in Athletics.
Thanks for voting!
