We have a poll running on the right hand side above the links section to see who you folks in cyberland think is deserving of USA Track & Field's Jesse Owens Award!

This year’s awards will be presented December 6 at the Jesse Owens Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, held at the Silver Legacy Resort in Reno, Nev. The ceremony is held in conjunction with USA Track & Field’s 2008 Annual Meeting in Reno, December 3-7.

The Jesse Owens Award was established in 1981 as a tribute to the man whose accomplishments are forever enshrined in sports history. It is USA Track & Field’s highest accolade, and is presented annually to the individuals selected through a nominating and voting procedure as the outstanding American performers of the year in Athletics.

The poll will be up until Sunday September 28th!
