Paul's notes--Sundodger Invitational cross country meet at Lincoln Park...
For those of you who are planning to attend the Sundodger Invitational cross country meet Saturday morning at Lincoln Park, I've compiled a list of leading contenders in the men's and women's invitational races.These notes are the same notes that the race announcer (me!) will use in calling the four races. With the large field in the two open races, I did not compile hero notes...sorry about that!
For fans of cross country, the women's race at 10:25 am will be the debut of the heralded Canadian freshman, Kendra Schaaf (far left/photo by Paul Merca) of the University of Washington, who finished 20th at the world junior cross country championships in Edinburgh, Scotland, and seventh in the 5000 at the world junior championships in Poland this summer.
