NEW ORLEANS—There was very little movement in the USTFCCCA Division II national cross country rankings after the final regular season meets throughout the country.

In the women’s national top 25 rankings released Wednesday, Seattle Pacific dropped one spot to number 13 after finishing fourth at the Western Washington University Classic in Bellingham last Saturday.

Western Washington held steady at number 14 after the Vikings finished fifth in their own meet.

The women’s national top five in Division II consists of Adams State, Western State, Grand Valley State, U-Mary, and Colorado Mines.

After their second place finish in the WWU Classic behind Club Northwest, Simon Fraser moved up two spots to number 8 in the national poll, while Alaska Anchorage, which finished third in Bellingham, dropped two to number 10.

No other schools from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference are ranked in the national top 25 this week.

Western Washington’s men’s team dropped two spots in the national poll to number 21 after their third place finish in their own meet behind Simon Fraser and Alaska Anchorage.

The national top five are Adams State, Colorado Mines, Grand Valley State, Chico State, and Western State.

Simon Fraser remained at number 8, despite winning the Western Washington Classic last week, while Alaska Anchorage rocketed to number 11 after being unranked in the last poll revealed last week.

The only other GNAC team ranked nationally this week is Western Oregon at number 25.

All Washington GNAC schools are off this weekend in preparation for next week’s conference championships hosted by Western Oregon in Monmouth.

The USTFCCCA poll is available here.
