NEW ORLEANS—The Central Washington women’s team dropped four spots in the latest USTFCCCA Division II national track & field rating index released Tuesday.

The Wildcats, who were ranked #12 last week, dropped to number 16.

The country’s top five women’s squads are in order: Grand Valley State, Adams State, San Francisco State, Lincoln/Missouri, and Lewis.

Schools from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference ranked in the top 25 include #7 Simon Fraser, and #8 Alaska Anchorage.

On the men’s side, Simon Fraser at #17 is the only school ranked in the national top 25.

The nation’s top five men’s teams are, in order: Adams State, Ashland, Tiffin, Grand Valley State, and West Texas A&M.

The closest GNAC team to the top 25 is #32 Central Washington.
