Cougs' Emmanuel Wells continues his roll at Cougar Indoor...

PULLMAN—Washington State’s Emmanuel Wells (left/photo courtesy WSU Sports Information) continued his domination of the sprints, as he won the 60 meter dash at the Cougar Indoor Saturday at the Indoor Practice Facility on the WSU campus.

One day after running to victory in the 200 meters in 21.25 at the Division I Invitational Team Challenge across the border at the University of Idaho’s Kibbie Dome, Wells ran 6.65 to easily win the race.

Wells, the product of Seattle’s Rainier Beach HS, ran 6.70 in the semis, before turning on the jets in the final some 90 minutes later.

His 6.65 puts him in a 3-way tie for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference lead with USC’s Brendon Stewart and Oregon’s Oraine Palmer. It also puts him in a 6-way tie for 14th on the NCAA performance list, pending the outcome of other meets around the country this weekend.

The time tied Washington State great Anson Henry for the all-time WSU indoor 60m dash record.

The Cougars’ Peyton Fredrickson, another winner from Friday’s meet in Moscow, almost duplicated his one-day old personal best in winning the high jump with a mark of 7-0.25 (2.14m), one centimeter below his winning mark of 2.15m (7-0.5).

Other highlights:

—The best women's mark of the day came from San Diego State alum Kristen Brown, who won the women’s pole vault with a best of 14-1.25 (4.30m);

—Washington State’s Regyn Gaffney improved her position on the MPSF performance list in winning the women’s 60 dash in 7.55. The mark puts her in a tie for 13th;
