EUGENE--With no athletes with Washington ties competing Monday night at the World Athletics Championships at Historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon, it was time to play around with some photography.
In the past, I would post a bunch of photos onto my personal Facebook page, which doubled as the page for this site.
Only problem was (is) that I'd find some of my photos posted on commercial web sites without my permission, so I've ended that, and started utilizing my Instagram page.
Without further ado, here's some of the best shots from Monday's competition.
Complete results of Monday's competition, which included finals in the women's marathon, triple jump and 1500, along with the men's high jump and steeplechase, along with recaps, are available on the World Athletics Oregon22 microsite.
Tuesday in Eugene will be a light day of competition.
Washington alum Gianna Woodruff runs in the first round of the women's 400 hurdles representing Panama at 5:15 pm, while Josh Kerr of Great Britain and the Brooks Beasts goes in the final of the men's 1500 at 7:30. Kerr who has been running well through the first two rounds, is out to prove that last year's bronze medal in the Olympics wasn't a fluke.

7:45 AM Tuesday 19 July: Apologies for the late post, as we were dealing with some technical issues, namely a MacBook Pro that had to get sent to the shop.
