Issaquah resident Turner Wiley finishes ninth in Pan Am Games marathon...

SANTIAGO, Chile--Seattle Pacific alum Turner Wiley (file photo courtesy of Club Northwest) finished ninth in the marathon as the track and field portion of the Pan Am Games got underway Sunday morning through the streets of Santiago.

Wiley ran a season best of 2:20:25, as Christian Pacheco of Peru won the first gold medal of the track and field portion of the Pan Am Games in 2:11:14.

The main portion of the track and field competition at the Pan Am Games gets underway on October 29th with the race walk, and the in stadium track and field events starting on the 30th.
