Zags head to Oregon for a possible WCC preview at Bill Dellinger Invitational...

The Gonzaga men's cross country team (Paul Merca photo), which is coming off a 17th place finish at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on September 27th, will race Friday at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Springfield, Oregon at the Pine Ridge (formerly Springfield) Golf Club, hosted by the University of Oregon.

The Zags, who are just outside the USTFCCCA national top 30, will face a field that includes number 2 BYU, number 22 Oregon, and number 25 Portland.

With Portland and Santa Clara in the field, this could possibly be the best preview of the West Coast Conference meet on November 2nd, albeit without Washington State, which raced last weekend at the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame.

Gonzaga's women's team races next week at the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station, Texas hosted by Texas A&M.

Media partner RunnerSpace.com ($) will live stream the meet, as well as Big Ten Plus ($), host Oregon's conference streaming outlet.

Racing gets underway at 11:15 am with the men's 8k, followed by the women's 6k at noon.
