Rodgers Chelal signs with Washington State Cougars...

In yet another Instagram post by TownHall Athletics and kenya_sports, the agency announced that Rodgers Chelal (photo illustration courtesy Townhall Athletics) from Lembus Kwen-Koibatek, Kenya, has signed with Washington State University.

Chelal, whose World Athletics profile lists him as a 19 year old, comes to Pullman with a personal best of 13:47.24, set in June at the Trials for Africa U18 & U20 Championships in Nairobi.

In a text to publisher Paul Merca from Washington State director of track and cross country Wayne Phipps, Chelal was signed over the summer and was expected to compete for the Cougars during the cross country season, but wasn't able to obtain a student visa in time to compete in the fall.

Chelal joins Eastern Kentucky's Vicody Chepngetich and Virginia Tech's Faith Kimaiyo on the Cougars' roster this winter. All three are Townhall Athletics clients.

Other current Townhall athletes placed at Washington State include Evans Kurui, and Rosemary Longisa.
