Twins Hana and Amanda Moll named to USTFCCCA Bowerman Pre-Season Watch List...

While it's very early in the 2026 collegiate track and field season, the USTFCCCA has named Washington pole vaulters Hana and Amanda Moll (Paul Merca photo) are two of ten collegiate athletes on The Bowerman Pre-Season Watch List.

The Olympia natives and identical twins are the first siblings to make a Watch List. The graduates of Capital HS tied for sixth at last year's world championships in Tokyo.

Hana, a two-time world championships finalist, finished the 2025 season with the final collegiate record, her first of any kind in raising the outdoor mark to 4.79m (15-8.5) that doubled as the NCAA DI Outdoor meet record. She’s also a co-holder of the NCAA DI Indoor meet record at 4.70m (15-5). Her highest clearance last year came at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, where her 4.81m (15-9.25) could only have been beaten by a CR, which Amanda cleared for the victory. The only collegian she lost to last year was Amanda. This is her fifth career Watch List appearance.

Amanda raised the CR six times last year – twice outdoors and four times indoors. Her highest clearance of the year came indoors, with the first absolute collegiate 16-foot performance at 4.91m (16-1.5). She won the NCAA DI Indoor title with a meet record 4.70m (15-5) and finished the undercover season with five of the top-8 all-time performances collegiately. Outdoors she is number. 2 all-time collegiately at 4.78m (15-8.25) from last year, which was one of two CRs she set. This is her seventh career Watch List appearance.

The Husky track and field team, which opened the 2026 collegiate season with a pair of meets last month in Boston and Spokane, returns to action January 16th and 17th with the UW Preview meet at Dempsey Indoor.

The Bowerman Award, given to the country's top collegiate male and female track and field athlete, will be awarded in December at the USTFCCCA convention in Grapevine, Texas.
