Incoming UW grad transfer Chloe Thomas entered in Canadian XC champs...
University of Washington graduate transfer Chloe Thomas (Brooks Running photo) is one of the top entries for this weekend's Canadian Cross Country Championships at the Fanshawe Golf Course in London, Ontario.
Thomas, who comes to Washington from the University of Connecticut, did not compete this fall for the Huskies, as she used up all of her cross country eligibility at UConn, and only has indoor and outdoor track eligibility remaining.
The former UConn Husky was ninth in the 2024 NCAA cross country championships.
During the 2025 track season, she ran a season best 15:18.40 over 5000m at the Sound Running Sunset Tour in July. Thomas also finished fourth in the 5000 at the NACAC championships in the Bahamas, and was outside the Road to Tokyo selection quota for September's world championships.
She is entered in the women's 10k race, which also serves as the selection race for Canada's World Cross Country Championships team.
The women's 10k race gets underway Saturday at noon, Pacific/3pm local time.
