Light weekend ahead, as Eastern Washington, Gonzaga and SeattleU race in Spokane Valley & Salem...

This weekend is going to be a light one for the state's nine Division I and II schools, as only Eastern Washington (Nic Cunningham/EWU Athletics photo), Gonzaga, and Seattle University are in action Saturday.

The Eagles and Bulldogs make the short trip to Spokane Valley for the Frank Knott Classic at The Course, hosted by Whitworth University.

Eastern will run full men's and women's teams, while Gonzaga will line up those runners not traveling to next Friday's Nuttycombe Invitational in Verona, Wisconsin, just outside Madison.

Idaho, Montana and Montana State are the other Division I teams with entries in the meet.

Action begins at 10 am with the women's 6k race, while the men's 8k starts at 10:45 am.

Meantime, Seattle University heads to Salem, Oregon for the Charles Bowles Invitational, hosted by Willamette University.

Racing begins Saturday at 9:30 am with the men’s 8k, followed by a 10:20 am start for the women’s 5k. The race courses will loop through both McCulloch Stadium and Bush Park.

Division I teams in the field include Nevada, Fresno State, Hawaii, Portland, and St. Mary's.

The entry list is posted here, while the link to live results will be posted closer to race time at live.tf
