NEW ORLEANS--Both Washington and Washington State were off last week, but there was some movement towards the back end of the men's USTFCCCA NCAA Division I National Coaches' Poll released Tuesday.
Both the Huskies and the Cougars dropped, with Washington losing one spot to number 29, and Washington State getting moved out of the national top 30.
The Cougars are tied with Tulsa as the two highest ranked teams outside the national top 30.
The men's national top five, even with the Pre-National meet in Terre Haute the only significant race with national implications, remain in order: New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Alabama, and BYU.
B1G Ten teams in the national top 30 include number 6 Oregon, number 14 Wisconsin, number 21 Minnesota, and number 22 Michigan State.
Washington State's departure from the top 30 means there are no schools from the Pac-12 represented.
On the women's side, Washington State remains at number 13 in the national poll, while Washington dropped to number 29.
BYU and NC State traded places in the national poll after the Cougars beat the Wolfpack at the Pre-Nationals meet in Terre Haute.
West Virginia, Florida, and Northern Arizona round out the national top five.
B1G Ten teams in the national top 30 include number 15 Oregon, number 23 Northwestern, number 25 Minnesota, and number 26 Penn State.
Washington State remains the only school from the Pac-12 in the national top 30.
