Washington alum Eleanor Fulton, who was fifth in the pro section of the women’s 1500 at last Saturday’s Brooks PR Invitational at Husky Track, goes again in her specialty against many of the athletes who she ran against in Seattle, including Amanda Eccleston, and Calli Thackery.
Also in the field are Americans Stephanie Garcia, who is dropping down in distance from the steeple, and Shannon Osika, who ran in March for Team USA at the world cross country championships with Fulton on the 4 x 2k mixed relay team.
Washington State alum Caroline Austin, who ran well almost two weeks ago at the Portland Track Festival, will be the pacemaker in the women’s steeple that features US Olympian Shalaya Kipp, and former Husky Charlotte Prouse, as a number of runners in the field are shooting for either the world championships (9:40.00) or Olympic (9:30.00) standards.
Washington State’s Stephanie Cho, a native of Vancouver, BC, is entered in the 400 meters against a domestic field.
On the men’s side, Washington’s Mick Stanovsek drops down in distance to run the 800 meters.
Washington State’s Paul Ryan is entered in the 1500, where he’ll face Pac-12 champ William Paulson from Arizona State and Canada, along with fellow Canadian and Oregon standout Blake Haney.
New Husky alum Fred Huxham, along with current Husky Tanner Anderson, are entered in the 3000 meters, along with Gonzaga’s Yacine Guermali, Brandon Pollard and Kellen Manley, in a race headlined by Canadian Olympian and Vancouver resident Luc Bruchet.
