Washington women, Gonzaga men climb in latest USTFCCCA national poll...

The Washington women (Paul Merca photo) and the Gonzaga men's teams each moved up one spot in the latest USTFCCCA Division I national coaches' poll released Tuesday.

The Huskies, coming off a strong fourth place finish at the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by Notre Dame, moved up to number 7 in Tuesday's national poll.

The nation's top five women's teams in order are: NC State, BYU, New Mexico, Alabama, and Colorado.

Other women's squads from the Pac-12 in the national top 30 include number 9 Stanford, number 10 Utah, and number 30 Oregon State.

On the men's side, the Gonzaga Bulldogs moved up one spot from number 20 to 19 despite being idle.

The Washington men's team, who swept the top six places at the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem last Saturday, stayed at number 13.

The nation's top five men's teams in order are: Northern Arizona, Notre Dame, Stanford, Oklahoma State, and BYU.

Other teams from the Pac-12 in the men's top 30 include number 7 Colorado, and number 9 Oregon. Number 26 Portland is the only other team from the West Coast Conference besides BYU and Gonzaga in the top 30.
