It's a day off here at the Trials...
EUGENE--With Tuesday and Wednesday rest days on the track, not too much is happening here in Eugene...other than folks coming in town to compete in the second half of the meet, folks working out at Hayward Field and South Eugene High, etc.
We will post some excerpts of interviews with several athletes, as well as a state of the sport read from USA Track & Field president & acting CEO Bill Roe, a man whom I've known since my junior high school days in 1973.
The only frustrating thing about the trip here to the Trials is the fact that I tweaked my left Achilles tendon two weeks ago, and have not been able to run.
