QUICK RESULTS FROM EUROPE…
In Padova, Italy on Tuesday, Tacoma native Marcus Chambers finished third in the B section of the men’s 400 at the Meeting Citta' Di Padova Atletica Mondiale.
The mark was a 2019 season best for the University of Oregon alum, and marked the first time this season that he’s run in the 45 second range.
At the Meeting Guldensporen in Kortrijk, Belgium on July 13th, Seattle resident Justine Fedronic ran 2:05.39 to finish third in her heat, as the 2016 French Olympian prepares for her national championships.
While the mark is rather modest, good to know that former Washington State standout and 2012 Swedish Olympian Ebba Jungmark is still competing.
At the Varberg Grand Prix meeting in Varberg, Sweden on July 15th, the 32 year old Jungmark jumped 5-10 (1.78m) to finish second.
She has a season best outdoors of 5-10.5 (1.79m), and an indoor best of 6-0 (1.83m) set at the Swedish national championships in February.
Results of all three meets are available via the results page at watchathletics.com.
