Wanda Diamond League & Music City Track Carnival resumes Sunday; Ryan wins in St. Louis...

Eight days after the Wanda Diamond League stopped in Eugene for the Nike Prefontaine Classic, the tour resumes Sunday in Rabat, Morocco for the Meeting International Mohammed VI d'Athlétisme.

Reigning Olympic champion and former Pullman resident Katie Nageotte is entered in the pole vault, where she'll face training partner and two-time world indoor champion Sandi Morris.

Washington alum Amy-Eloise Markovc is entered in the women's 3000.

CNBC will have live coverage of the Meeting International Mohammed VI d'Athlétisme starting at 11 am Pacific.

In Nashville, Tennessee, the Music City Track Carnival, which is part of the American Track League series, continues Sunday.

In the Saturday night portion of the meet, Washington alum Julius Diehr finished eighth in the 3000 steeplechase, running 8:52.00.

Camas native Alexa Efraimson and Seattle resident Rebecca Mehra are entered in the women's 1500, while Gonzaga's Yacine Guermali is entered in the pro section of the men's mile.

ESPN2 will air the meet live beginning at 9 am Pacific time.

WHAT'S HAPPENED SO FAR THIS WEEKEND...

On Thursday June 2nd, Washington State alum Paul Ryan (photo courtesy Hoka Festival of Miles) set a personal best in winning the featured men's invitational mile at the Hoka Festival of Miles in St. Louis.

Ryan ran 3:55.95 to take the win after trailing at 1500 meters (3:41.19), towing six other runners under four minutes, including high schoolers Gary Martin (3:57.89) and Connor Burns (3:58.83).

In the women's invitational mile, Washington alum Katie Follett, who took 2021 off on maternity leave, finished 13th in 4:43.75.
