While seven of Washington's nine Division I and II teams are in action this weekend, the slate of meets are relatively light.
Washington State, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington and Central Washington are staying close to home, as they head to Spokane for the Jeff Rahn Classic on Friday hosted by Whitworth University.
Saint Martin's, which was idle last week, drives down to Monmouth, Oregon for the John Knight Twilight meet Friday and Saturday, hosted by Western Oregon.
Western Washington will make the short drive through the Canadian border for the Battle of Sparta in Langley, BC, hosted by Trinity Western University at the McLeod Athletic Park.
Seattle Pacific is the only team that is flying out of town this weekend, as their sprints, hurdles, and pole vault group will head to Claremont, California for the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday.
Eastern Washington heptathlete Ella Seelhoff heads to Azusa, California to compete in the D section of the Bryan Clay Invitational Combined Events meet Thursday and Friday.
This year, the combined events are contested separately from the main portion of the meet, which will be held next week.
