Husky multi-event specialists head to Tucson for Jim Click Combined Events meet...

The University of Washington gets a bit of a head start with this week's competition, as their multi-event specialists head south to Tucson for the Jim Click Combined Events meet hosted by the University of Arizona at Drachman Stadium.

All American Hannah Rusnak (photo by Paul Merca) returns to Drachman, where she won the 2019 Pac-12 heptathlon title with a then-personal best of 5762 points.

She'll be joined by Ida Eiking, who finished eighth at the 2018 World Athletics Under-20 championships representing Norway, along with graduate transfer Lyndsey Lopes, who qualified for the NCAA championships in 2018 while at USC.

On the men's side, Parker Kennedy, who was fourth at the 2019 Pac-12 decathlon, will be joined by freshman Ollie Thorner from Great Britain.

Husky volunteer coach Tim Duckworth, the 2018 NCAA indoor heptathlon and decathlon champion while at the University of Kentucky, is also entered.

Duckworth, a 2019 world championships team member for Great Britain, is looking to get the Olympic standard of 8350 points. He last completed a decathlon at the 2019 Hypomeeting in Götzis, Austria, where he scored 7981 points.

The women's heptathlon field includes 2019 NCAA scorer Lauren Taubert of Kansas State, 2017 NCAA scorer Kaylee Hinton of Texas Tech, NCAA qualifier Ariel Okorie of Kansas State, and Arizona's Skylar Sieben.

The decathlon field is also very competitive, with NCAA decathlon and heptathlon scorer Max Vollmer, the defending Pac-12 champ out of Oregon, along with Hakim McMorris from Cal, and Fynn Zenker from Texas Tech. Defending Jim Click champ Wyatt Murphy is also in the field.

The heptathlon 100 hurdles kicks off the Jim Click Combined Events at 10:30 am, while the decathlon 100 meter dash begins at 11:00 am.

There is no live stream of the Jim Click meet available; however, live results are available here.
