Here's some stuff we missed over the weekend...

In Atlanta, Washington State alum CJ Allen (Paul Merca photo) opened up his 2022 outdoor campaign in the 400 hurdles with a win at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

Allen, who got as far as the semis at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene last year, won the race in a time of 49.19, which is the seventh fastest time in the world so far this season, and the fifth by an American in 2022.

In Annapolis, Maryland, former Renton resident Devon Allen, who is training at the US Naval Academy under former Oregon assistant Jamie Cook, won the 110 hurdles at the Navy Spring Invitational over the weekend.

Allen ran 13.12, which is the fastest time in the world so far this season.

He also won the 100 and 200 dashes, winning the 100 in 10.20, and the 200 in 20.65.

HUSKIES STAY IN THE NATIONAL TOP 25 IN USTFCCCA RANKING INDEX...

Both the University of Washington men's and women's teams dropped slightly in the weekly national ranking index released by the USTFCCCA Monday.

The Husky men, who were number 11 last week, dropped five spots to number 16 in the latest index.

The men's national top five teams after this past weekend's meets are, in order: Texas, Alabama, Florida, Texas A&N, and Oregon.

Pac-12 schools in the top 25 include number 14 USC, number 17 Arizona State, and number 23 Stanford.

The Washington women dropped two spots to number 23 in the rating index.

The nation's top five women's teams after meets around the country over the weekend are in order: Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, LSU, and Texas Tech.

Pac-12 schools in the national top 25 include number 9 Oregon, number 15 Arizona State, number 20 USC, number 22 Cal, and number 24 Colorado.
