WEEKEND ROUNDUP: Beasts TC's Brannon Kidder fifth in Berlin; Nageotte & Prakel win in Bellizona...
In Berlin, Brannon Kidder (left/photo by Paul Merca) of the Seattle based Brooks Beasts finished fifth in the men’s 1500 meters Sunday at the ISTAF meeting at the famed Berlin Olympiastadion.
Kidder, who three days ago was added to the USA world championships team in the 800 as a result of Donavan Brazier’s win in the Diamond League finals in Zürich, ran 3:36.15, as Josh Thompson of the Nike Bowerman TC won in a personal best 3:35.01.
Beasts TC teammate Izaic Yorks finished eighth in 3:36.79, while the third member of the Beasts competing in Berlin, Henry Wynne, was eleventh in 3:37.97.

In Bellinzona, Switzerland, former Pullman resident Katie Nageotte won the women’s pole vault at the Gala Dei Castelli meeting Sunday.
Nageotte, who finished second in the pole vault at the Zürich Weltklasse meeting at the Zürich train station on Wednesday, cleared 15-7.75 (4.77m) to turn back fellow Americans Sandi Morris (15-5/4.70m) and Emily Grove (15-2.25/4.63m).
In a blanket finish, University of Washington volunteer assistant coach Sam Prakel won the men's 1500 in a time of 3:37.59, as he snuck past four athletes to win by a step.
