Amanda Moll named USTFCCCA Division I national women's field event athlete of 2025 indoor season...
NEW ORLEANS--University of Washington sophomore pole vaulter Amanda Moll (Paul Merca photo) was named Monday by the USTFCCCA as its national women's Division I indoor field event athlete of the 2025 indoor track and field season.
Member coaches of the USTFCCCA, the national collegiate coaches' association, voted on these honors following the conclusion of 2025 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships two weeks ago in Virginia Beach, Virginia, but considered performances throughout the season when voting on these honors.
Moll, a native of Olympia, rewrote the record book in the pole vault throughout the indoor season that saw her cap it with an event title at the 2025 NCAA DI Indoor Championships, clearing 15-5 (4.70m) over twin sister Hana, the defending NCAA indoor champion.
The Washington standout topped 16 feet twice this season, once at 16-0 (4.88m) to take down the collegiate record at the Don Kirby Collegiate Elite; then again at 16-1.25 (4.91m) to improve that mark at the Big Ten Indoor Championships.
Amanda is the fourth woman (Demi Payne also cleared 16 feet in 2016, but her marks are not recognized due to a drug suspension in the 2016 season) in American history to clear 16 feet or higher, joining Jenn Suhr (16-6; 5.03m), Sandi Morris (16-4.75; 5.00m), and Katie Moon (16-2.75; 4.95m), all of whom own titles at either the Olympics, world indoor or outdoor championships, or both.
This is the most recent accolade she's received, as she was named by the Big Ten Conference as its women's field event athlete of the 2025 indoor season last week.
