INDIANAPOLIS--The NCAA Tuesday evening released the list of accepted entries for next weekend's NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, VA.
The University of Washington women will have four individuals competing in five events: Chloe Foerster (Paul Merca photo) in the mile; Amina Maatoug in the mile and 3000; and Amanda & Hana Moll in the pole vault.
Foerster (1200) and Maatoug (1600), who ran on the distance medley relay team that set the school record of 10:40.44 at the Husky Classic, are on the DMR pool, which includes Anna Terrell on the 400 leg, and Claire Yerby on the 800 leg.
Mia Cochran, Julia David-Smith, and Maggie Liebich are listed on the Huskies' roster as alternates on the distance medley relay.
For Washington State, they'll be led on the women's side by All American Micaela De Mello, who is qualified in the 60 hurdles.
She'll be joined in Virginia Beach by Tatum Moku, who made the top 16 in the pole vault at the Last Chance meet at Boston University on Sunday when she cleared a WSU school record 14-7.5 (4.46m).
The Washington men head to Virginia Beach with three entries in the 800 in Justin O'Toole, Kyle Reinheimer and Cole Lindhorst.
The Dawgs have the top two seeds in the mile in Nathan Green and Ronan McMahon-Staggs. They also have individual entries in the pole vault with Big Ten champ Scott Toney, and heptathlete Jami Schlueter.
McMahon-Staggs, Bodi Ligons, Reinheimer, and Green, the foursome who set the world best of 9:14.10 in the distance medley relay at the Husky Classic on February 14th, are in the relay pool along with Martin Barco, Rhys Hammond, Leo Daschbach, and Thomas Diamond.
Washington State's cross country All-American Evans Kurui is in the 5000, while Mason Lawyer is qualified in both the 60 and 200 meter dashes.
There are a number of Washington high school standouts entered in the meet, including Trey Knight (Ridgefield) of Cal State Northridge and Jeremiah Nubbe (Rainier) of Virginia in the weight throw; Will Floyd (Seattle Prep) of Georgia and Jacob Andrews (Sehome) of USC in the 400 and 4 x 400 relay; Rob McManus (Cashmere) of Montana State in the mile; Andre Korbmacher (Squalicum) of Florida State in the 60 hurdles; and Alaina Brady (Tahoma) of Notre Dame in the pentathlon.
