In Cork, Ireland, Washington alum Eleanor Fulton (photo courtesy Drake Relays) set a personal best in the 3000 meters at the Cork City Sports International Athletics meeting Wednesday evening.
The 2016 graduate ran 8:42.30 in a second place finish behind Great Britain's Megan Keith's 8:38.37.
For Fulton, the time eclipsed her previous personal best of 8:44.68, set three years ago in Rovereto, Italy.
Current Huskies Julia David-Smith and Mia Cochran finished 10th and 13th. David-Smith ran 8:59.35, while Cochran clocked in at 9:10.35.
Cochran's mark is now the fifth fastest in Washington school history.
In the men's mile, recent Washington grad Ronan McMahon-Staggs was 11th in 3:58.64, as Marco Langdon from Villanova, who was third in the 5000 at the NCAAs last month, dropped down in distance to take the victory in a personal best 3:54.59.
Most of those who raced Wednesday night in Cork will move on to Dublin for Friday night's Morton Games.
Fulton, David-Smith, and Cochran are entered in the women's 1500.
Washington alum and Irish Olympian Brian Fay is entered in the men's mile.
