A number of current and former University of Washington athletes are competing in Wednesday night's Cork City Sports International Athletics meeting in Cork, Ireland.
Current Huskies Julia David-Smith and Mia Cochran are entered in the women's 3000 meters, along with alum Amina Maatoug.
Maatoug, who competed at last year's world championships in the 1500 meters, goes into the meet as the top seed based on her 8:45.60 set in January at the New Balance Grand Prix meet in Boston.
David-Smith, last year's World University Games champ at 5000 meters, goes into the meet with a seed mark of 8:54.66,while Cochran is seeded at 8:57.00. Both set their marks at the Husky Classic in February.
Washington redshirt freshman Owen Powell is entered in the men's 3000 where he has a personal best of 8:04.83, set at the UW Preview in January.
Husky grads Sophie O'Sullivan and Chloe Foerster are both entered in the women's 800. O'Sullivan, a two time world championships competitor for Ireland and a Paris Olympian at 1500 meters, is one of the meet's headline attractions.

Both Diamond (3:52.50) and Reina (3:52.40) are among the top seeds in this meet. Great Britain's Adam Fogg is the top seed in the mile at 3:49.60.
