Woodruff finishes seventh at Gyulai István Memorial in Hungary...


In Szekesfehervar, Hungary, Washington alum Gianna Woodruff (Paul Merca photo) finished seventh in the 400 hurdles at the Gyulai István Memorial meeting Tuesday evening with just over a month to go before the start of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary,

Woodruff, coming off a second place finish at the Central American Games in San Salvador, El Salvador two weeks ago, ran 56.43, as Andrenette Knight of Jamaica emerged with the win in 53.26.

Woodruff is tentatively entered in next week's Wanda Diamond League meet in London, which is the final Diamond League meet before the world championships.
