SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR, Hungary--A few days after waking up sick at the Silesia Diamond League meet and not finishing the race, Olympia native Brooke Feldmeier (Paul Merca photo) finished third in the 800 meters at the István Gyulai meeting Monday afternoon.
Feldmeier ran 2:01.41, as Diribe Welteji of Ethiopia won in 1:59.33.
Washington alum Gianna Woodruff's first competition after finishing seventh at the world championships in Eugene resulted in a fourth place showing.
Woodruff ran 55.73, as world champ and world record holder Sydney McLaughlin won in 51.68.
