Most Washington schools in action in the Northwest this weekend...
With only Seattle University idle this weekend, the other eight Washington Division I and II schools are in action this weekend in the Pacific Northwest.
Friday, Washington State, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, and Central Washington are in Spokane for the Whitworth Peace Meet at the Pine Bowl, hosted by Whitworth University, starting at noon, and finishing close to 7:30 pm.
The Cougars will run a small group in Spokane, led by thrower Ronald Grueso Mosqquera (WSU Athletics photo), who last week was third in the shot put with a throw of 62-10.5 (19.16m) at the Stanford Invitational. In Spokane, Grueso Mosqquera will throw both the shot and discus.
Gonzaga will also run a small group, while both Central and Eastern Washington will run the majority of its team Friday.
Saint Martin's travels to Monmouth, Oregon Friday for the John Knight Twilight meet, hosted by Western Oregon University, after being idle last weekend.
The meet gets underway at 4 pm. The link to live results is available here.
Washington is the only team that's traveling out of the Pacific Northwest, as its throws group returns to San Diego for the Triton Invitational Friday and Saturday, hosted by the University of San Diego.
NCAA All Americans Elijah Mason and Jayden White headline the group throwing in San Diego on the men's side, while Beatrice Asomaning, MaKayla Kelby, and Kaia Tupu-South lead the women.
The women's hammer and discus will be contested Friday, while the other throws will go on Saturday.
Finally, both Seattle Pacific and Western Washington head north of the border to compete at the Emilie Mondor Invitational in Burnaby, BC, hosted by Simon Fraser University.
Action on the Simon Fraser campus track begins at noon with the women's 3000 steeplechase and concludes shortly after 5 pm.
Unfortunately there is no link to live results. Western Washington's meet preview is available here.
